Nystatin capsules

My LLND has prescribed Nystatin - even though I don't appear to have yeast issues. (That I know of)
No white tongue, no diarrhea, no itching 'down there', no sugar cravings - in fact I have an aversion to pop now - and sweet fruit juices.

So I called the compounding Pharmacy and it is powder in capsules.
500,000 per capsule.
Is it ok to take in that form - the filler is Lactose - which is a sugar.
Is it ok to take that filler?

I asked what other fillers I could choose - and she named Methyl Cellulose...as one option...and the other one I can't remember.

If I want to start lower than 500,000 I could open the caps...

when i talked to the Pharmacy - she said if I didn't like fillers, she said maybe the Pharmacist would give it to me in a bottle.

So, without the fillers - and no caps - it should be the same 'stuff', right?

I asked him during my phone appt. - about just the powder - and he said - he prescribes this all the time, and it works (the caps)

I could call him back, but I am treading a fine line - of getting on his 'bad side'. I already refused some supplements he wanted to sell me. I'm thinking he will just stand his ground on this one.

So, if there's a work around...I'd rather not call him and try to 'insist' on the pure powder. Since, he shot me down the first time.
I will call the Pharmacy and see if they will just put it in a bottle...then no need for fillers.
If that doesn't work (maybe they can't do it - because the Dr. didn't prescribe it that way) - then I am stuck with capsules - so I will ask for something other than the lactose.
