anxiety or lyme?

I communicate with many, many people who are treating lyme with antibiotics - and so far have not heard of one person who died from them. The LL Dr.'s do monthly tests - including liver and kidney function tests to monitor how your body is handling the antibiotics. If your body isn't handling the antibiotics, then the Dr. doesn't continue to prescribe them. There may be cases i haven't heard of...but if so, it's uncommon.

Also, people have become severely crippled from untreated Lyme...did you know that?

Many (if not most) of us have had extensive blood work, specialist appointments, imaging done to rule out other medical conditions - thyroid tests included.
There aren't a lot of conditions that would match the systemic, severe symptoms I had/have - but I was tested for thyroid, adrenal, MS, ALS, menopause (JOKE), lung cancer, sleep apnea, myasthenis gravis (spelled that wrong), parathyroid tumor, autoimmune diseases (lupus/RA/sjogrens...etc), and more.
And guess what? Lyme Disease was the only thing that I tested positive for...the only thing that showed antibiodies. (I didn't have the antibodies show up for the RA, lupus, sjogrens...or any other autoimmune diseases).

hi girlie i assume you got diagnosed by igenex and treated by an llmd you probably dont feel better now after the antibiotics and spent alot of money,look im very skeptical about this as my mom had this friend who i know she was sick or crazy since i was little i didnt know she had generalised anxiety she suffered for 10 years and got to a point where couldnt lift a tablespoon to feed herself if she had internet at that time she will probably be on antibiotics now, her mother used to light her a candle every night because she tought she was gonna die medics did all the tests for alot of things probably not lyme tests since she cant remember and everything was fine but she felt sick and the pains were real and tremors and chills she became a vegetable and spent most days in bed she got to a psychiatric hospital and got on a lot of strong anti depresive meds for 3 years she is 100 percent now still takes her pills but is fine and looks and feels amazing now she works as a hairdresser,and the wife of my neighbour had the same problem going everynight to the hospital with real pains alot of tests done and ct scans nothing showing up no trace of illness and diagnosed with anxiety like im sure everyone here was diagnosed with,she got on strong idk what kind but not paxil type antidepresants took about 5 years till she got fine and now shes normal and lives her live she did lost someone very close before having the sympoms maybe that was the trigger what i get from this is that i personally know two people with severe anxiety just in my small city and are way more common and there was never been a case of lyme in the whole region i tend to believe that severe anxiety is way more common than lyme at least here and anxiety in general is very common and can do alot of things much like lyme some people dont accept this diagnosis and look further and further and you know what you look for thats what you are going to find as for me i still think lyme is a possibility and i will repeat my test and do a western blot in 2 months but if those come negative ill have to wait and see one thing is for sure i had anxiety since i was little and panic over every day to day pain i worked out from 13 to last year i wished i continued because i had something to atribute my sympoms like i had a sore neck oh its from the squats nothing scary when i was 10 i cut myself with my dads rusty sword i read somewhere that you get tetanus from that and i drived my mom crazy for a tetanus shot even tough that sword stayed in our house and not in dirt where that bacteria lives but i didnt listen to my mom i had to get that shot or i was gonna die i have the exact feeling right now and i kinda want to trust my mom and all these doctors woth years of medicine who saved allot of lives than some guy whos gonna put me in a oxygen box and charge me 5000$

Lyme is on every single continent - all it takes is one bird, with one tick that is carrying these infections to start the whole process. That's why we can have European strains here in the US and American strains in Europe and all over the world.

No one is insisting you do or don't have Lyme - what I'm saying is that you have not been properly evaluated. You have the symptoms of Lyme and need to be properly evaluated, not told that it's just not there. I was told that about the area I live in as well - not even the government believes there is Lyme in my area- but it sure didn't stop that tick from attaching to me and still giving me Lyme!! They simply don't recognize the boundaries we place on them.

I sure hope you don't have Lyme, with as resistant to the idea as you are. I would hate to think that you are setting yourself up to live as I had to for so many years. But I can absolutely guarantee you that I have been given wrong diagnoses of Anxiety, stress, depression, MS, Fibro and so many other false diagnoses. I had one doctor so convinced that I had MS and not Lyme that he yelled at me at the top of his lungs, in his office, that if I didn't start MS treatment that very day, I'd die quickly from MS. I never took even 1 MS drug, yet here I am today, healed and sticking around to help others. I've been doing studying Lyme and these infections for the last 15 years - I've been on this forum for the last 8 years and have been a Mod for the last 5 - almost 6 years. I've talked with a lot of people and have read a lot of personal stories about Lyme. This is one thing that is worth treating (like cancer or pneumonia) even though it might be slower growing than those things, it's just as deadly at some point if left untreated.

If you wish to know more about Lyme, study syphilis. It too is a spirochete like Lyme and has had a lot of studies done on it. Syphilis is caused by the spirochete bacterium Treponema pallidum subspecies pallidum.

While we are happy to help educate you on these infections and what they can do to a person, you do have to be respectful here.

youre right i apologise for that, eh if that wb is positive im gonna take max 4 6 weeks of abx and then try some herbs or something if they even sell it here,i just dont see the point of taking years of antibiotics till you dont have no more symptoms how do you know it even worked and not placebo let alone the side effects of these drugs how can a anyone digest food even with supplements after 1 year of antibiotics

Definitely not a placebo. Before treatment, I couldn't figure out how to spell, much less how to use a computer. I'm no longer in need of daily assistance to do normal health care routines, and I can regulate my own body temperature, no longer have seizures, no longer deal with severe muscle spasms or muscle cramps all day long every single day - and the list goes on.

How do you know it worked? When your symptoms are gone, as mine are.
