Like many things prices vary. They all have an hourly rate that you pay if insurance does not. First visits can be from 1 to 2.5 hours, follow ups .5 to .75 hours.
$275 to 350 per hour is normal in north central US for a LLMD, if ins doesnt cover, then you do. The most expensive one up here is more than that and not very good, thus I didnt even mention this one to you. Usually you get what you pay for, usually that is.
Most ins RX is separate from Dr coverage, even if its the same co. Thats good, because if ins does not cover the Dr, they still usually cover normal ABX.
"Drs" that who are not MD's, but still think they're Lyme literate will be on the lower $ide, and they cant Rx meds.
I only went to LLMD every 2-3 months, had other Drs for help in between. You can save $ on conventional labs (like liver tests ect) if you have a regular MD with an open mind that will help. If you go thru an LLMD for everything, it adds up fast if they dont take ins. I know people who bugeted 300 a month and some who blew all there savings with out even adding it up. I think it pays off to spend wisely, research like your allready doing will pay off.
There are some labs that you can buy online and drive to a participating lab. Example the outdated CD-57 test is done by a standard lab (Quest) but still listed as experimental and you will pay...........more thru your Dr than buying it online and then driving to the town. CD57 from Dr, ins denied bill was $190. Labs direct online, same test , but I drive 45 minutes for a bill of 120 to 130. Its a game.
