Lyme and yeast!

How long have you been battling Lyme?

One of our members is considered the resident yeast expert. While she's not posting right now, if you use the search feature and type "Pirouette, yeast, anti-fungal", you'll find some great information....including that about the powder form of Nystatin that she used to beat her bad case of yeast.

Without a doubt, sugar, carbs and alcohol should not be part of your diet since they all promote the formation of yeast.

Eating things like coconut oil and kefir will only help.

Welcome Klar. First you want to starve the Candida so it dies and the ONLY way to starve it is not give it sugar. This is very hard because even Ketchup has sugar in it. You wonder what you can eat and you will mostly be eating meat and vegetables. No bbq sauce (once again sugar). As for vegetables stay away from fermented ones too. Even though this is healthy for your gut there is a type of sugar from the fermentation in some of them so READ the label (usually health food stores have the okay ones). I had to get creative and to make a sandwich I used a corn tortilla. I had that corn tortilla with eggs instead of toast. I ate a lot of veggie wraps. Lettuce wrapped around vegetables and I would throw in some meat. It was hard and in 1 month I kicked it. But I did not have a bad case, the acupuncturist said.

I also was told to take grapefruit seed extract.

And I took probiotics. I also took psyllium to keep those bugs moving on out.

Yours sounds massive and I would take my time treating it and also help your liver by detoxing all those bugs. Maybe milk thistle. I did not try that so I do not know its effect on me and with anything, you take it slow and alone to see if you have any adverse reactions.

You will be sick and tired in your brain also so you need to be super nice to yourself while you are healing. One thing about healing is our emotional health. I stay away from the tv news, scary movies or anything unhappy.

My worse symptom is patience. I am not a patience person at all. I want to take something and be well NOW. So relax techniques are mandatory for me.
