Hi everyone!
I'm totally new to this journey in my life. I'm currently awaiting a western blot and two tier Lyme test that my regular dr ordered for me. It was not done at igenex which that has some worry that I won't get a proper test done with proper results. So I thought I would come on here and see if I could continue my journey of diagnoses by perhaps finding a LLMD near by. Just writing this right now I'm extremely exhausted, I'm pretty much bed ridden and at my lowest. I'm desperate for answers. I have a 16 and 11 year old and don't want their only memories of mom sick in bed all the time. Anyways sorry about that rant. Hopefully I could get some recommendations. Thanks so much!!

Hey, welcome!

First of all, sorry for the troubles. I know all about 'um. It sucks.

Secondly, yes, what you need is a good doctor.

Someone else should be along to help you out with that sometime later on in the morning. You should apply an email address to your profile though, so people in/around your area can mail the doctors and their information to you, as we cannot share them publicly (for their protection).

In the meantime, you could try the ILADS referral system. Google it. It should be the first one.

Also, check out the "New to Lyme" section. It can be a bit overwhelming, I know, especially when you're down in the dumps, but some of it might help you out. The detoxing especially.

Sorry for the reason you're here but, glad you found us.

I'm glad you recognize that the tests you had done stand a good chance of missing Lyme. Reason being: mainstream labs don't test for the bands most likely to indicate Lyme. Why? Because the CDC removed those bands from the testing methods when they were working towards a Lyme vaccine that failed (people who got the vaccine got Lyme).

Antonio covered all the bases and I can only emphasize the need for you to enable your email option via your profile so members can send you contact info for LLMD's.

As you wait for your appointment, I hope you'll consider working towards getting a detoxing protocol established.

You see, the bugs we are infected with continue to go through their growth cycles...and this means some of them die during that process. Well, the dead bug parts are toxic to our body and its those toxins that drive our symptoms.

An effective detoxing protocol will help the body clear those toxins. That protocol becomes even more important once we start treatment since killing the bugs means the body will have even more toxins to deal with.
