Hi everyone,
I've been treating for about two and a half years. Saw two llmd's and now on my own doing Buhners Lyme and Bart protocol. I'm much bette than I was but am still experiencing pins and needles in tongue and right foot. I have about 12 Mercury amalgams and am wondering if they are impeding me from getting well. I had the doctors data heavy metal test done and Mercury was high but not crazy. What are your thoughts? Thanks

I don't know a lot about the heavy metals, but it is something that can impede healing.

Have you thought about Babesia? I don't know if those are Babs specific symptoms (I think not).... But if you have an untreated Babs infection, it could impede your full healing of the other infections.

Dr. Horowitz has discussed asymptomatic Babesia a few times in lectures/conferences.

Also one of our members cd3764 - she started to treat with Babs herbs because she had some stubborn symptoms that were hanging on.
You could try some Babs herbs and see if it affects you (herx)

She will probably post on this thread about it.

Yeah, you could try that.

Though, from what I've read, tingling could be caused by so many things. Heavy metals is one. But, I feel like it'd have been more of a problem by now, if it were a problem. I don't know.

Glad you're feeling better than you were. That's something. Hope you can keep the health, and maybe get a little more.

Sorry for the reason you're here but glad you found us.

Yes, I, too, have read that heavy metals can impede healing. However, I know I wouldn't be anxious to do an overly aggressive chelation. Since most of us are probably dealing with some degree of heavy metals, I opted to take stuff like NAC (N-acetyl-cysteine), Alpha Lipoic Acid, chlorella/cilantro, etc.

Your symptoms are similar to the ones I had when I plateaued on abx and after almost 6 months following the full Cowden protocol.

It was due to some herxing on one of Cowden's coinfection herbs that I'd begun to wonder if I'd been dealing with an asymptomatic Babesia/Babesia-like infection that my research shows can impede healing from Lyme.

Well, I switched to Buhner's Lyme, Bartonella and Babesia protocols in mid-July and am finally experiencing improvements.

Perhaps you might consider adding Buhner's Babesia protocol to your regimen to see if it makes a difference.

What did you do for treatment when under the care of the 2 LLMD's? And, how long have you been following Buhner's protocols? Care to expand on what you're doing?

We might have some suggestions for fine-tuning...

Hi there. I just finished reading a book called Mercury Poisoning by David Hammond, which was pretty good. What test did you have with doctors data? Hair? Uriine? Did you have the mineral testing with it? Often people that have a mercury issue are also low in lithium. Also what was your level of mercury? You should not chelate with almagams in your mouth still since it will pull mercury out of teeth into your body.

Also, there's a specific prorocol for removing fillings. So do your homework.
