Your problem seems to be a lot worse than mine was, Swede. My hair was falling out by the roots. Like balls of hair would be in my hands from running my fingers through my hair. It was gross. Thankfully I didn't look bald! Especially since I have fine, thin hair from the get-go.
My opinion: you could try rogaine foam for women. Don't know if that works, just heard about it. That stimulates follicles to regrow.
But the biotin is available at any drugstore and is cheap and can't hurt. It helps strengthen hair. And you know we lymies have plenty of vitamin deficits. I'd also explore making sure your iron levels are okay, etc. (that causes hair loss.) but I do recommend natures boundty because they cover all the vitamin bases including biotin. (Can't hurt right?)
Sorry, I hope that made sense. Brain fog has gotten so bad I can barely read! Haha. Good luck and best wishes.
P.S. It did grow back. :) and has stayed that way. When I went of the nature's bounty for a while, my hair feel out a little again. When back on and it's back to healthy hair. :)
