Babesia Questions

A couple days ago I noticed two bruises on my right leg - above the knee. Don't remember bumping it.
Today there is a third one.

They aren't sore to touch like most bruises are.

If they are from the infection - would it be Babs... Or could Bart cause them?

If after treating bart and I'm still left with some stubborn bart symptoms - then decide to treat Babs - would I then have to treat Bart again (and then maybe Lyme again)?

We don't think I have Bart...but if after treating Lyme and Bart - if Im left with symptoms - I will be wondering if I have Babs.

Ioana - do you have babesia?

I'm not sure about my chills. Often I have shivers but I don't feel cold - more like shivers from being excited or scared. For instance - when I hear songs that I like, sometimes I will get shivers - and it's not because Im cold - so don't know if it's really the chills.
Other times I get shivers in the morning when I wake up and I think they are possibly from being cold.
It seems like my nervous system is on overdrive.

I also have no tolerance for the cold. But it seems to be separate from my shivers. I thought that could be a Lyme symptom.

I really don't know if it's from Babesia.
I don't get headaches or fatigue. I guess I should read the symptom lists again.

I am not ruling out a Babesia - I could have it...I think my Dr. would treat with Mepron and Zithromax.

Since starting Bart treatment - about 2 1/2 months after starting full dose Rifampin I had three good days in a row. This is the first time since my symptoms started. And it was after switching my a Minocycline to Biaxin...now I have to prepare my speech to my Dr. and explain that I switched and want to continue on the biaxin.

So, I guess I will see how far the bart treatment gets me.

As far as not progressing faster - I do think that 9 1/2 months on antibiotics for Lyme was too long - I think bart is my dominant infection and I should have started treating bart after six months. I also took 2 1/2 months off treatment for raised liver enzymes.

I have been treating with antibiotics for a total of 14 months now and have lost quite a few symptoms. The three good days I recently had - I was feeling quite good - most of my symptoms were about 80% better or more.
I am cautiously optimistic that I will have more good days on a regular basis.

But right now as I am sitting here typing - I am feeling pretty good. I had another pretty good day....

My bad days I have an increase in my nerve pain and my lymph node swells and is sore...and get shivers on and off for most of the day...plus a few more symptoms ramped up....but many symptoms do not come back - no more tailbone pain, no more depression, rarely off-balance anymore, muscles are getting stronger, rib pain is only once in a while, finger joints are much better, no "tinglies" on my scalp, pulsatile tinnitus is gone in my right ear, and much better in my left ear....there are more improvements, those are the ones I could think of now.

I still have knee joint pain, shoulder pain, back pain......and more

You don't have to treat these infections one at a time. You can use the babesia herbs along with your bartonella antibiotics.

Girlie, a previous LLMD of mine (who is considered the "Bart guru") told me that Rifampin hits protozoans some, too. And, I just recently read that Biaxin hits protozoans. I don't remember where I read that. So, it may be something to keep in mind as you attack Bart with these drugs. You may be hitting (or perhaps stirring up) Babs as well.

15 drops Cryptolepis which I just added 12/28 titrating and I am sicker than a dog today.

It is reminiscent of my first lymie day. Everything came back, ringing ears, high blood pressure and racing pulse, aches all over, naseous, blood shot eyes, teary eyes, head pain, sore throat and very swollen lymph glands.

I am guessing a herx. I did go from 10 drops to 15 so maybe that was too quickly but I so want to get started on the Bart. I know I have both but I only want to add 1 herb at a time. I also had a ton of stress yesterday. Application deadline date for a grant so the fire department can get money and the fire chief procrastinated and then laid it all on me to get to the post office by 4pm. Stressful. So I don't know is it memorex? My sense of humor when I am being lymie. Plus I just had 5 superb days so a bad day is magnified.

Girlie I have bruise "feeling" places all over. It feels like I WAS the punching bag. I have no idea what that is other than the dying of spirochetes deep in muscle tissue.

Crypto 3 x a day 15 drops each time working up to 1/4 teasp. per buhner and once this attained I am going to add Houttuynia. Or maybe start Serrapeptase. I am doing the Hawthorn for Bart, but I don't think it is enough. I felt absolutely nothing from the Hawthorn but I am not going to stop it (out of fear LOL).

Brain fog today also. And my jaw and teeth hurt. I have places where it actually feels like someone has hit me hard in the arm muscle. When I touch it it feels like a bruise. But I have no coloring.

Peteza - I am taking Hawthorne as a supportive herb. For my cardiovascular system - as Bart wreaks havoc with it.
I don't know if it does anything as far as 'killing' the bacteria. You could add in Sida Acuta and/or Houttuynia to target Bart along with the JK you are already taking.

My jaw flares once in a while, but not as bad as it was. i had daily pain on my left side of jaw along with tingling.
So, when I flare and/or here, my left side of face/jaw gets symptomatic...but not as bad as it was originally.

tickbite - I'm pretty sure I've asked you this before - your second swipe at bart - was it after two months you felt most of the gains...or third month?
I was on the mino with the Rif (mine starting mid July, Rif starting mid August) but switched over to biaxin a few weeks ago...and had my first three days-in-a-row of feeling decent.

I had biaxin leftover from a while ago...so now I have to prepare my argument for my LLND to give me more biaxin...and not be angry that I stepped on his toes...and switched without telling him. He keeps saying I have an allergy to biaxin - because I got a few rashes when I was on it. But, he's forgotten that months later when I was off biaxin, I got another rash.

I think they were bart rashes - even tho they weren't scratches/stretch marks - they were red 'blotches'.

I did do Serrapaptase when I was treating lyme several months ago. I also did a pharma cyst buster - Tinidazole twice a week for about 2 1/2 months.

Now, that I'm treating bart I'm not doing anything for cysts.

Have you been on cyst busters yet? You could add the serrapeptase.
What does your LLMD say about cyst busters?

When you do Houtt - start very slowly - it can pack quite a punch.

If I recall it was 2 months of hell with improvements in 3rd and 4th months. Then to 2 round of Coartem.

I also don't rule out that I'm fighting re-occurring FL1953.

I'm not sure if I've herxed on crypto and sida - as I'm always on pharma, too and herxes seem to line up with the abx but they could be from the herbs.

I will stay on the herbs - won't hurt me.

TOOTY, Biaxin does hit some protozoans but it just keeps them at bay. Zithromax does the same.
