My 10 yr old is complaining of popping in one of her ears. Has anyone experienced this, as a symptom of Lyme and/or co?

I've had it happen a couple of times recently. It's very disconcerting. I had the TV on and turned it to mute to make sure what was happening was in fact happening inside one of my ears. By description it sounds similar to what can happen when you are in a plane and it descents or you are driving out of the mountains. In reality it's not at all similar. At least in my case it's been more a kin to a rapid muscle spasm/twitch inside my ear that I can both feel and hear. It's happened twice in the last two weeks or so and each time has had around 7-10 beats for lack of a better term.

See if your daughter felt like a small drum was popping in her ear. That's kind of what it felt like. It was really strange and I thought; another crazy Lyme thing.

Hi Simela 1!-

I don't have the popping noise, but everyday my ears feel like they are plugged. Almost like being under water, or having water in them.

I don't know if this is a Lyme symptom, or one of the co-infections.
I think that I have read on a different thread about tinnitus (ringing in the ears). I think someone said that it might be a symptom of Babesia.

Hopefully someone else has more knowledge on this!

My left ear also seems plugged since lyme. Actually lost complete hearing twice which was very scary...now stuffed or pops in out. Very annoying but can live with it.

I too had popping ears, stuffed ears. If she has a fever or complains of pain in her ear though, do be sure it's not an actual ear infection.

Yeah, first make sure it's not an ear infection, and then look into babesia.
