Help with interpretation of lab results

Looking for some help interpreting recent lab results. I meet with my LL M.D. in a few weeks but I'm looking for some help here.

Symptoms: I have been "sick" for about five years. Muscle loss in arms only, pain, tingling, numbness, twitching, loss of hearing in left ear, fatigue, gluten sensitivity, and vertigo.

Igenex test:
IGM Western blot – positive
Positive Bands: bands 23 – 25, 30, 34, 41, 58. 83 – 93 IND

IgG Western blot – negative
Positive band: 41

Creatine Kinase: 761 alert

EBV Ab VCA, IgG >600.0 High

EBV Nuclear Antigen Ab, IgG 151.0 High

Chlamydia pneumoniae IgG 1:256 High
Chlamydia pneumoniae IgA 1:128 High
Mycoplasma – high

Complement C4a 3877.1 High

Amylase, Serum 27 Low

Welcome rmgarrett and so very sorry you had to search lyme. You will not regret coming here though. So many well informed helpful people here.

I guess you can read that line that says IGM Western blot – positive. That means that you do have lyme disease and there are no false positives.

Glad you already have an LLMD.

The best advice I can give you is eat healthy, detox and keep a journal. Those things will benefit you a lot.

Someone more experienced than I will be along shortly to give you further good information.

Hi rmgarrett - welcome to our community!

Well, as PeteZa already said - you have a positive Igenex test for LD.

I'm glad you have an appointment with a LLMD in a few weeks.

Regarding your WB test:

band 23 is specific for Bb (Lyme)
band 34 is specific for Bb
band 41 is usually the first to appear after a Bb infection.
band 83-93 - specific for Bb

I'm not familiar with Chlamydia Pneumoniae -

While you wait for your LLMD appointment, you might be interested in reading through the "New to Lyme?..Start here!" thread at the top of the page.

On the other test results you can call Igenex and they will go over what the results mean.
