I am writing for someone else--not myself. I remember I did have those symptoms. The sensation or crowling and stabbing--the person describes what I think feels like stabbing as a feeling like a bee sting.

What causes these two issues and are there any particular herbs for it?

I had what I called "buggy feelings" which would probably be categorized as crawling sensations....it felt like I had bugs on me.

I also had stabbing sensations as a herx - it was a stronger and sharper sensation than a bee sting. *That* type of sensation I called a stinging sensation lol

These sensations indicate nervous system involvement - these infections love to attack our myelin sheaths - the protective covering on our nerves.

Buhner has a few recommendations for this:

In his new Lyme book, Buhner is now recommending Lion's Mane powder vs. the tincture mentioned in the link.

The other recommendations remain the same.

I lost the buggy feelings while on abx. I was still having an occasional sting as a herx and maybe had one stab as a herx.....the last being at least two months ago. I started Buhner 4 months ago and only got up to full doses of everything two weeks ago. Not bad ;)

I agree, also - neuro lyme or bart ....or both.

mike, I ordered kudzu...wishing I'd ordered skullcap.

kind of off topic - question for Mister Mike. (if he reads this)

Do I need to start the Kudzu and Greater Celandine as slowly as I did with the antibacterial herbs?

I'm currently still titrating up my JK, Sida, Hout, Crypto, - at 7 drops tid

Thank you! I have bought Chinese Skullcap and Kudzu a while ago, but didn't tincture them yet because I never got to it and didn't feel like I needed to use them.

PS: MR Mike: How are you doing? I see you stopped listing your protocol, So, you know I have to ask now, what are you on? Did anything help?

I started Stephania for eyes issues--I think you said Stephania helped you? Did you do the wash or tincture?

LOL Well, in any event, I am glad you are doing better! Let us know about your tests--I hope you get more answers. BTW, Girlie asked you a question above. And I have a question on my own about Greater Celandine: I know there are some warnings about it, and because of this, I haven't bought it. Have you ever used it?

Agreed with Mister Mike about titrating any new herb - supportive or not.

No word on GC in Buhner's new Lyme book. However, in the coinfection book that includes Bartonella and Mycoplasman, pages 233-238 expand on it quite a bit.

Greater Celandine is similar to antibiotic drugs to the extent that it can affect the liver and this doesn't usually manifest until a month after starting it.

To paraphrase Buhner....If a person develops any issues, stopping GC will result in an almost immediate improvement with no long-term effects.
