I would love to encourage the ones struggling with Lyme disease. This disease I would never wish to anyone. I thank my holistic doctor for actually listening to me and my symptoms and taking quick action. I got bit by a tick at the end of August 2015. I started having symptoms at the beginning on November 2015. It was a nightmare. A active 30 year old female with absolutely crippling symptoms. Headaches, jaw pain, leg pain, swollen lymph nodes, horrible cramping, chest pain and heart palpitations, bottom of foot pain, severe nausea, throwing up, very very sever back ache and joints are so so sore. The list goes on. I go to a military hospital where you would think doctors would be smart. Wrong. They acted like I was a crazy person and wanted me to see a head doctor. Told me I was making up my symptoms and pretty much sent me on my way. I was baffled. I made another appointment told them I know I have Lyme do you need to test me. Got the results last week and they were negative but they barely did s test for Lyme. I'm pretty sure they just tested to shut me up. I've shouted, argued and have told the doctors and nurses they are hiding something but no one would listen to me do I said screw it. In December 2015 I couldn't take it anymore. I sought the help of a holistic doctor in town I had heard good things about. He took one loon in my eyes and felt the inflammation in my body and said you have Lyme disease. He told me it would be a long road ahead for me but he believes I can live a good life now if I do and take what he suggests. I take a live supplement because Lyme has completely taken over my gi tract. It's helping but I got more to take for that. I also take red clover blend to help my nausea and my circulatory system. The doctor said sometimes when people have Lyme it makes their blood unable to function properly because of the disease. I know when I don't take this medicine. I get my nausea back full force. The one part of my care has been a teasel root tincture. It helps my joint pain and it's suppose to drive the Lyme out of your body. It can take some time but it does help.
I just want whoever who reads this to know you aren't alone. It's s slow road. Don't give up. You need help and support. My husband and parents have been so helpful because I'm not able yet to do the laundry because I don't have the energy. I'm slowly coming back though and I thank God for that. So keep your chin up. Be an advocate and don't listen to those doctors that think you are crazy. You aren't.
