First Sip Of Chronic Tonic - Not Bad At All

Defintely Strong.

Simmered the Herbs for about 10-15 minutes.

Including almost all chronic tonic herbs. 3 I have in powder form(eleuthero, cats claw, and japanese knotweed) which I ingest instead of tea form.

Hope this goes well...didn't do exact measures i go with about a tsp or more around that much of each.

Tastes strong...hope to update periodically.

I never really minded the taste either. I told my practitioner that I could drink that the rest of my life if it meant I'd feel better! She was a bit surprised considering the herbs that are in it! LOL!

And you really, really need to weigh the herbs used, not trying to find a teaspoon measurement. If they are mixed well, then you will get the full benefits of the herbs that way. Otherwise, you are just guessing at what you are getting, which means you aren't getting consistent dosages. I used to measure them all out into packets so that I would just have to measure out my water each morning and then grab one of the packets and dump the pre-weighed herbs into the water after pulling it off the heat.

Did you actually simmer the herbs or did you steep them? There's a huge difference. Herbs should not be simmered if you are using them medicinally. The water is to be brought to a boil and then removed from heat before adding the herbs - otherwise it changes the actions of the herbs.

And don't reuse any 'left overs'. The dose will not be consistent if you try to do this. Each time you try to reuse the herbs you are giving the infections a hand up.

Nope! All you do is bring the water to a boil - then move it off the heat source (the burner on the stove). Then add the herbs and allow it to sit there (steep) for 20 minutes with a lid on the pot. There should be no heat applied to the pot while the herbs are in there. Then strain, cool, and drink as directed. 1 cup 4 times a day.
