When you click on the link it brings you to a "view" of the file;
Then you have to click "open" at the top of the screen to "open with Google Sheets"

YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MODIFY/USE THE FILE WHILE IT IS IN GOOGLE DOCS—I'm indicating that it is readable only but once you download it to your hard drive, you will be able to use it normally.

3. Click on "File" at the top menu bar

4. Click on "Download As"

5. Then choose "Microsoft Excel (.xlsx)

6. And then once you find it on your local hard drive, you can use the file."

I created an excel spreadsheet and it has the date, blood pressure, pulse, how I feel, new herbs or supplements, and dosage. I really need to monitor my heart so I keep those stats. Plus I have white coat syndrome - my bp goes up in a doctor's office. The doctor will focus on that and neglect my lyme. It irritates me so I take my daily readings to show that I am normal when not in his office.

It is just columns.

Plus I know that there are apps out there for both Android and Iphones for Lyme symptom journaling.

I keep a journal the old fashioned way, a spiral notebook, I am fairly tech savy but found that to be too confusing for my jumbled brain. I write all my meds, supplements etc for the week and note anything new. Then I make a daily entry and give the day an overall wellness rating noting any med changes, weird symptoms or anything that seems better or worse. I also like to write one good thing for the day, usually totally unrelated to being sick, at the bottom of daily entry to help me remember there is always something positive everyday even though we may feel terrible. I can then make a spreadsheet with my daily ratings to show my doctors.

I do mine on paper.

I take plain paper and draw columns for the date across the top and on the left side I list all my symptoms.

Because my symptoms fluctuate all day long...I rate them two or three times each day.
When I get up, I rate them 0-10 for severity.

Then in the middle of the day, I will rate again, and then the last one is in the evening. Sometimes I skip the mid-day one.

At the end of the day, I go through each symptom and circle the highest number for the day and then add them up, put the total on the bottom of the page. I chose to add up the highest number... but you could add them all up.

I stopped charting for several months - I think since last spring I haven't done it. I felt i was too focussed on my symptoms...

So, what I noticed doing up a new chart...is some symptoms are gone..won't even be going on my new chart....yay!!!
