I tested negative for Babesia Microti through LabCorp (and, yes, the tests are unreliable).
There are more strains of Babesia than tests available. Plus new strains are being discovered every few months. Please also be aware that healthy people are walking around with asymptomatic Babesia infections - even the CDC acknowledges this:
www.cdc.gov/parasites/babesiosis/"Although many people who are infected with Babesia do not have symptoms, for those who do effective treatment is available."
Even though I had a few hot flashes (I'm past menopause) before I met my LLMD and a couple more while on abx for Lyme, my LLMD attributed them all to Lyme.
It wasn't until I experienced hot flashes on Cowden's Enula (specific for Babesia) that I got to wondering if I had it...or a Babesia-like infection (BabLO)
Here's how BabLO can manifest:
www.gordonmedical.com/unravelling-complex-chronic-illness/babesia-like-organisms-bablo-consideration-signs-and-symptoms/I experienced quite a few Babesia symptoms as herxes on Buhner's full Babesia protocol. While I'd need to check my journal for a complete list, I remember dealing with air hunger, chest pressure, full head sensation, stiff neck/cricky neck, quick onset of overwhelming anxiety (when relaxing lol), fatigue and hot flashes.
It certainly sounds like you're herxing - sorry. Hope you're increasing your detoxing. If you need some new ideas, here's our famous link :)
