I didn't think I was dealing with Babesia, either and neither did my LLMD.
He had no explanation for my inability to break the plateau I'd hit on abx that was maintained after almost 6 months on the full Cowden protocol (despite herxing).
It was due to a few hot flashes I had on Cowden's Babesia-specific Enula that I got to wondering about
Babesia.
Healthy people walk around with asymptomatic Babesia and Bartonella infections. Even the CDC acknowledges this on their website:
www.cdc.gov/parasites/babesiosis/"Although many people who are infected with Babesia do not have symptoms, for those who do effective treatment is available."
www.cdc.gov/bartonella/clinicians/index.html
"Most cases of cat scratch disease (CSD) resolve without treatment", although some patients may develop complications from disseminated disease.
You may know that cat scratch disease is the henselae strain of Bartonella
If healthy people can have no symptoms of Babesia or Bartonella and still be infected, it's entirely possible that those of us dealing with any of these infections could also be infected with Babesia and/or Bartonella....and not necessarily have any symptoms...or have mild symptoms...or just one symptom (mild or not)
As we all know, these bugs form biofilm with each other. Well, treating for the various infections makes the others more vulnerable to treatment.
I herxed with Lyme symptoms on Artemisinin. And, following Buhner's full Bartonella and Babesia protocols along with his Lyme protocol brought me from 90% this past August to my current 98%....and I only got up to the full doses (1/2 tsp 3x daily) of the Babs/Bart herbs in mid-December - I'd only been taking 8 drops each in the beginning of the month.
There are many more strains of Babesia (and Bartonella) than tests available. New strains are being discovered every few months.
It seems the various strains don't always respond to a singular approach and resistance is common.
As you probably know, herbs work synergistically - they enhance the actions of each other. I'm very happy you are taking the various herbs you're taking - especially CSA because that combination has helped many people with Babesia.
Adding Artemisinin further down the line might benefit you.
Still, I wouldn't discount Babesia as what might be holding you back from full healing.
You've got a powerful treatment crafted for yourself. I hope it brings you to the finish line.
