While it'd probably be best for you to get an answer off of her, considering she's the Chronic Tonic sensei around here, I feel like there's a few more of its users than you're giving credit. A lot of people probably went out and tried it, without contributing much to the threads on it. I did.
That said, personally, I'd say yes, and no. Though, mostly no.
Yes, because some of the herbs likely have broad-spectrum qualities, affecting multiple invaders. In fact, I've had some of my biggest reactions to the neem leaf that's included, out of all things, which was something that I'd always thought was more of a Lyme herb. I don't think so anymore.
Now, I'd say no, because I don't think they'd do enough for the other infections on their own, even Traveler used houttuynia to treat Bart. I'm kind of amazed she was able to kill it off with just that, but yeah.
Also, because there are other herbs that are more readily suggested - like you mentioned, houttuynia and the CSA combination.
I feel your pain on the alcohol though. I don't quite know why, but I just can't deal with it. I wish the whole herbs weren't so hard to find/afford, because I'd really like to be using those herbs.
Sorry if this answer is not satisfactory - Trav should be around, probably in the morning.
