Hi lunar,
I would NOT recommend using the tincture as an eyewash unless you burn off the alcohol first. It would be much better to order powder or herb and make a water decoction/strain it. Then use it as an eye wash. See below. This can be found on Buhners healinglyme website.
Dear Stephen,
I found a lyme tick on my scalp and developed the disease within two weeks. I have been taking antibiotics as well as salt-Vitamin C and the Buhner protocol. I think the borrelia have invaded my eyes, since I see a stringy, twisty floater in my left eye, which has been there for several weeks, and a more egg shaped floater in my right eye, which has been visible for slightly less time. I want to know more about stephania, which I have made capsules out of, and tea (or infusion). If I wash my eyes with the infusion, how should I do it? Should I use an eye cup. Should I use just the clear liquid on top, or the whole, well, mess.
Stephen’s response:
You can use stephania eye drops made from a strong decoction of stephania and as well I would suggest using it internally in tincture form – dosages as per Healing Lyme.
