I have a lymph node under my arm pit that will probably never go completely down all the way but I feel like my lymph fluid is sluggish, I've been dry skin brushing and detox bath but need to get my lymph flowing. We have a herbal place that offers a lymph massage (pricey) that I plan to get eventually, but what are some other ways?

I have the same issue (lymph nodes not fully returning to normal) and posted about it here recently. Several posters suggested red root, more commonly known as Jersey Tea. I must admit, with no disrespect, that I am much more skeptical than other posters of "eastern medicine," but red root is not expensive so I decided to give it a shot and just started taking it yesterday. I would be happy to follow up with you and let you know whether it does anything.

You can also use red root - although if you have blood clotting issues already, it could pose an issue since it does have a tendency to increase blood clotting in some people: buhnerhealinglyme.com/herbs/red-root-and-hypercoagulation/

I do remember your post! Please do let me know, where did you get this tea? I believe Western medicine combined with herbs/supplements work wonders, it really depends on each individuals immune system, abx work for some while herbals work for others :-)

Buhner suggests Mountain Rose herbs to purchase red root. I just purchased some other herbs from them just last week and had a good experience, so I would recommend them as well, although you might be able to find a great product through other sources that are less expensive, so shop around a bit. There is a list of online stores that some members have had good experiences with in the "New to Lyme?" thread.

Thanks a ton Traveler! You are a godsend! I know our herbs etc. Have a capsule that aids in lymph system I will have to see what the ingredients are

Our lymph system has no pump. There are a couple of things you can do to help "move" the lymph along. One is a rebounder. It is like a mini trampoline. The other is walking briskly and swinging your arms.

I have lots of trouble with my lymph system and learned these as a little girl. I excelled in trampoline which led to high diving.

When I was little I would go to my Mom and say I didn't feel good. She would feel behind my ear and say "yep, off to bed you go, you are sick." She says my lymph nodes behind my ears were a great "tell." And I could never fake sick. LOL!!

Red root has been awesome for my lymph with lyme. I used Amazon and bought from HawaiiPharm and had excellent service and I find it to be a great product for my needs. I buy in big sizes so I get the 4 oz for about $30.

Mountain Rose sells extract and not tincture for red root. But that will work with a little conversion. Extracts are a little more concentrated but they also lose the plant effectiveness due to the preparation.

I used a golden flower formula...zhong gan ling...i do believe red root is in it..2 days and i noticed its down

Consider another vote cast for Red Root. I dealt with swollen lymph nodes constantly on abx and sometimes as a herx on Buhner's herbs. I only started taking Red Root since following Buhner's protocol and it's made quite the difference.

I was using Woodland Essence tincture (one of Buhner's recommended sources) and have been making my own more recently.

Red Root is very good, and one of these herbs that you feel it working immediately. you dont need to wait for one month to see improvement...

Mild exercise is also good. Massage, sauna...

The Light beam generator ( also called ST8 or action lymphatics) is a great tool to move the lymph. Some clinics have them, but you have to look to find one. I have used one a number of times and noticed good results.

Also infrared sauna is great for moving the lymph.
