a year and a half of treatments I am doing a lot better. over a year of antibiotics and now on all herbs. I still have a ton of symptoms just all not as severe. One I cant seem to get any better is my eyes burning. Ive had it since beginning (june 14'). Best way I can describe it is it feels like a hair dryer being held to my eye. It rarely happens in both but goes back and forth between them. Anyone deal with this, know what causes it, and any ideas for relief??? Thanks!!!!

i had some scary eye issues (due to a herb extract that was way too strong) a few months ago, you can read about it here

I first went to the eye doctor and have done a complete exam. I suggest you do the same. You should test for
- Ocular Hypertension (this i believe is very important because of your symptoms)
- retina exam
- general exam of eye optics

Btw, are your eyes dry ? Have you tried eye moisturizing drops?

Only if you get a clear bill of health from the dr, then you can start wondering what else could it be.

One thing is certain is Borrelia does survive (even after successful treatment) in places of the body where the immune system is naturally less potent. These include : the brain, the eye, the joints.

I have had a complete eye exam a few months ago! Everything normal! Ive had this symptom since the very beginning when I wasnt taking any antibiotics or herbs. There not so much dry but just feel like they are if that makes any sense. Like i said like hot air is being blown in them. I look like im stoned sometimes, they get red and glassy but feel like they are dry.

I have the same thing. I looked like i was stoned to. My eyelids drooped also and eyes were always red. My dr said it from the bart. Since treating it has gotten a little better. I use a moisturizing eye drop.

I had this also. My eyes were always blood shot and hurt. It was especially bad at night. The white part from the iris to the nose was especially bad. I also had eyelid drooping on one side.

There are some good eye drops. I can look them up tomorrow.

Thanks a lot! I got px eye drops at eye dr a while back and they were awesome but over $100 for a ounce! I started using the "cooling" in the clear eyes. I was just hoping someone had a more permanent fix. It is slowly getting better though!

Does it get worse with stress?

Now that I've quit my job, I don't get this symptom any more. Not sure if I went back to work, if it would come back due to stress.

Ive noticed all my symptoms would get worse with stress!
