I gave had a really bad sore throat for almost two weeks. Dr said sinus infection and pharyngitis... Anyone else ever deal with this?

Are you currently treating Lyme? What are you taking? If you are treating Lyme it could be a herx symptom.

I had a very dry and sore throat when I was taking Rifampin. My throat was so dry and sore, that it hurt to swallow.

I was on Augmentin (875mg - daily) for a week, then LLMD put me on Amoxicillin (4000 mg daily) on Monday. My throat feels like its getting worse. My WB thru Quest was neg (only IGG 41 & 66 positive), but LLMD is doing a trial treatment.

I have to ask - are you sure that it's the inside of your throat that hurts? Could it be your lymph nodes? As you can see in this picture - we have lots and lots of them in those areas: www.britannica.com/science/lymph-node

And, if it's your lymph nodes, it would indicate that not only is the treatment working in killing off the bacteria (lymphs filter out debris in the blood), but we have ways to help with the pain/fullness.

No, I'm pretty sure its inside. The back of my tongue hurts, my gums hurt, and my throat and uvula are red and sore. I also see a little bit of white close to where the tonsils are.

Yes! I have had several AWFUL sore throats that last for weeks. I always think I'm coming down with something, but nothing else ever materializes. My memory is poor these days, but IIRC, my LLND said it was caused by either Bart or Babesia. Mine eventually goes away, but until it does, it really is the worst sore throat I've ever had.
