I've sparingly taken .5 mg of ativan when I feel a herx and it helps with head pressure, and neck pain... While I've started on my mepron/zithromax again... I wonder why it helps? I try not to take it much because I know it's addictive. I know it's helping with my anxiety but I don't think my head pressure and neck issues are anxiety

it seems to give you that "chill out" effect.

Yes That's true! Maybe it just masks the herx, like so you don't pay attention to it

Yep, Ativan is a sedative, so you just don't pay as close attention to what's going on with your body.

i'd give activated charcoal a try. it worked for me so many times.
these sedatives have long lasting neuro effects, best is to keep their use at a minimum. amnesia and cognitive impairments being on top.

Ativan is a med that works to stop seizures. Not only it is a strong sedative but it becomes ineffective with long term use. I would look into an herb or something else. I would not use Ativan unless it would be to stop a seizure that is dangerous enough to be life threatening. It is so bad for some people to get to work their body and be able to fall asleep without it that to me it is v. dangerous to even consider.
