Candida testing from conventional labs is possible

Thought I'd mention this, since candida is a big deal with us.

Regular labs (insurance covered) do tests for candida, the Dr just has to look in the catalog!

I had Candida antibodies tested Igg, Iga and...? Igm (I think). I forget which one is which, but I showed recent exposure, but below the threshold (but close) on current exposure.

There is another also for current exposure, that is not an antibody, Dr said to do that next, If one of the above is positive, just to be sure. So thats also in the regular labs catalog of tests.

I did this with a non-llmd to save $. Just having a co-pay is nice sometimes.

Lab was Quest or Lab-corp, forgot.

There are a few candida tests you can pay for.

It makes sense to me to do what is covered by insurance first (if you have lab coverage)..

I just wanted to let people know this. Not all Drs are aware of whats available and just go with costly self pay labs.
