And, no matter what he's doing, it's really a good idea to continually add to the daily detoxing protocol until herxing basically stops happening.

CD, on detoxing:
He's not in great cognitive shape right now (for a long while), but has generally been cooperative with whatever is prescribed for him (treatment, food, drink and detoxing).

I'm trying to get him into as much detoxing as possible....with a minimum target of at least three different techniques a day. For sure we're doing the Burbur / Pinella (twice a day) and a Parsley (once a day). We're getting lemon water into him twice a day.

He had been going to a lymph therapist twice a week which had been very helpful but since late October he's felt too tired to go.

He had been wonderful about foot baths, sauna, and Epsom / hydrogen baths -- but a massive challenge has been that he is "adverse" (for a mental reasoning reason) to taking any sort of bath for a number of weeks now. (You can imagine! One longs for when a child is 5 and you can just pick them up and put them into the bath) In the past his mind eventually clicks back in and those aspects return to normal. It's been a long while.

I've tried the alka seltzer gold three times in the last 3 months and it's unclear to me whether it had an impact. I know now ammonia is an issue for him and have LOLA (L'Ornithine) on hand but am awaiting clearance for ongoing use of it by his LLMD -

I'm not throwing everything at him at once - just trying to build them into a routine "practice" -- which I increase during major reactions.

Not fun (...but mostly for the horror he's living that can't be alleviated at times). Yes, I guess at times one can think of that line from Apocalypse Now and whisper, "The horror......."

I'm still learning the co-infections and medications.

My understanding is that my son's treatment will in time address at least babesia, biofilms, lyme, and the bartonella .... he has just completed the fourth month and the fifth round of antibiotic treatment and he hasn't had the antibiotics you mention yet. This last round he had a combination of 7 different antibiotics, various # of days / dosages over the two-week period - they may have been targeting the first 3 I listed first, with a great deal of focus, I know, on the babesia with anti-malarials.

He's definitely been heavy on OCD symptoms. The link of all of the ACN PANS/PANDAS to bathroom rituals and aversions is so fascinating. I wonder what it is in the brain!

I'm so glad to see, in your profile of her, how your daughter recovered. Were her antibiotics all oral, or did you do some IV (that's an upcoming big decision)?

yes, I forgot to mention the chlorella (Vega-sourced in Japan, packaged in Canada) which I've got paired with MSM in the supplements he's taking twice a day.

I looked at activated charcoal at some point and then didn't think it was best for him, but now I don't remember why (so will re-look at it and write reminders down -grin).

On the alka seltzer gold that I'd mention my son had tried a few times, one thing that startled me at least twice was how dilated my son's eyes became immediately after taking it; has anyone else noticed that and / or know why that would be?
