I too was recently diagnosed with a reduced Ejection Fraction. Cardiologist performed a heart cath, but found nothing else wrong. A reduced EF means that all of the blood isn't getting pumped out. A normal EF is 56% to 70%. In August, my heart was perfectly fine :( But yes, I was told Lyme can weaken the heart just as it can affect any other organ in the body. I'm on meds to keep my BP down because it kept skyrocketing every time I had a bad flare. And I haven't been officially diagnosed with Lyme either, so I still don't know if that's what's causing it.
