For whatever it's worth, healthy people are walking around with asymptomatic Babesia infections. Even the CDC acknowledges this on their website:
www.cdc.gov/parasites/babesiosis/"Although many people who are infected with Babesia do not have symptoms, for those who do effective treatment is available."
As you know, these bugs form biofilm with each other. Treating for coinfections can make Lyme more vulnerable to treatment.
My LLMD remained insistent that I'm only dealing with Lyme. Yet he couldn't explain why I was having trouble shaking the mild peripheral nervous system symptoms I had after going off abx and after almost 6 months on the full Cowden protocol.
Since I had some hot flashes on Cowden's Babesia-specific herbs, I decided to switch to a more expanded Babesia protocol to see what happened.
Treating for Lyme, Babesia (and Bartonella) are what are bringing me to healing.
