Switching from herbal capsules to herbal extracts and vice versa- how much?

So if you're going back and forth between herbal capsules and extracts, how do you know you're taking the same amount?

For example, I just fully switched from Cowden to Buhner a few days ago. I was up to 18 drops of Samento on Cowden, but now am taking Cat's Claw capsules. I just took one today, and I can absolutely feel it. I'm wondering if it's because one capsule would be a lot more than 17 drops?

I tried figuring this stuff out for myself and realized other factors merit consideration.

Different forms of herbs (capsules/powder, tincture, infusion, etc.) all have different effects in the body. The herbs themselves can vary with sourcing. The actual method of preparation can result in different effects in the body.

When you're talking about Samento (TOA-free cat's claw) and "regular" Cat's Claw, that's yet another dimension.

I don't think any true conclusions can be made. Rather, go low and slow whenever switching anything.

And...you're starting on the lowest dose - one cap per day. You could open up the capsule and pour 1/2 out and take that...take the other half the next day...and then after a week...do one cap per day.
