Added andrographis and my joint pain is back

Hello everyone,

My doctor prescribed andrgrapis for my ear situation. The episode isn't completely over, but over night the pain down my neck subsided and is now gone. The ringing in my ear is still there and I still have some more localized aches.

My joint pain in my shoulders which has greatly been relieved since taking the JK, has now returned. Ugh. I am thinking this is the andrographus digging up more?? I am feeling the joint pain in other places too.

What do you think? Herx? What does this herb do for Lyme? I herxed with my typical back pain when I first started andro. And i usually have a toxic headache when I wake up from the herbs. But I was not expecting this. Thoughts?

Andrographis is the anti-spirochetal herb recommended by Buhner in his latest Lyme protocol. It's also thought to be effective against other forms of Borrellia.

I believe you're herxing - sorry.

How much andrographis did you take?

I am going to start taking it next week. It is suppose to kill the spirochetes from what I have read.

I am taking two tablets @300 mg twice a day. It really helped my ear over night! But the joint pain stinks.

By the way, I've been looking through Babs symptoms and such over this ear thing. I am not convinced. I see that traveler has it as a Lyme symptom in our intro post under short list.

Hey Purple Tulip. I have joint paint as well that migrates throughout my body. I'm just curious what is JK that helped relieve it for you?

yes joint pain can be herxing and andrographis is very powerful. Buhner reinstated it as main lyme herb in 2nd edition of his book. My german clinic also uses it as main anti-lyme herb along with artemisia annua.

King of bitters, spirochetes hate it :-)

Try taking turmeric/curcumin, it works wonders for the joints.

Thanks for the tip, mpost. My joint pain in my shoulders comes like fire at night. but the morning I am overall stiff.

JK is short for Japanese Knot wood. I made a lot of progress, so I thought. Then I added the andrographis, now everything hurts again.
