Traveler thats ok...I totally understand... I have a four and two year old I'm trying to keep up with.
I am really nervous about drinking that tea again...the heart palpitations really freak me out! I can deal with tingling/numbness eye floaters, but chest discomfort heart palpitations and feeling anxious is just really starting to get to me. As you read I took myself to er because I couldn't take it anymore and my blood pressure, blood work and chest X-ray were normal.
Just very sad:(
Thank you for all of the information you share.
Sorry, my Mom called for some support too.
Believe me, I understand about
raising little ones while being so sick. I was either a single Mom or essentially a single mom the whole time my kids were at home - and I was sick the entire time. Do what you can to have plenty of 'quiet time' activities so you can sit and just watch them right now. You won't do them any good if you run yourself down to the point that you are bed ridden either. Pace yourself.
The one thing that my kids told me (many, many times now) is that I was never a "bad Mom" because I wasn't as involved with taking them places and doing things with them. I was there. That's what counted most to them. I talked
openly and honestly (age appropriate always though) with what was going on with me, and what life was like. Kids are so amazing at their acceptance of their circumstances. We are the only ones beating ourselves up for not doing more for them once they understand.
And you surely don't have to drink a detox tea in order to detox. If it increases your heart palps, then use other means to detox. Without looking, I'm assuming we've shared the link to that list of detoxing suggestions from the 'tired of Lyme' site. We can go over whatever methods you would like to incorporate into your daily detoxing routines if you would like as well.
Air hunger from Lyme is a very, very rare occurrence, and it's usually that the patient doesn't understand what is meant. Real air hunger is almost always from Babesia as far as we know at this point. I had an asymptomatic Babesia infection that has recently reared it's ugly little head now - air hunger included, but it's not bad at this point (Knocks on wood - just to be safe). If your doc doesn't want to treat you for Babs later on, you may want to include some Babesia herbs later on if it continues. The ones I'm thinking of (Buhner's) can safely be used at the same time as abx.
Feeling worse after starting abx is exactly what should happen if a person has these infections. It shows that the treatment is working, but it in no way means that we have to put up with that! LOL! Our biggest weapon in fighting that part is detoxing! I use many detoxing routines daily so that I can be as functional as possible. I would encourage you to do the same. There are many that you can do while the kids are having some quiet time.
And I agree with PeteZa about
heart symptoms, but once you have your heart checked out thoroughly, then it's time to try different detoxing routines to see if any of them help ease your symptoms. Hawthorne is one thing that is supposed to be really good for heart symptoms. I know that I've read where a handful of members here have used it and have had relief.
Hang in there!! It's all one step at a time, but you will get better.
