If reducing the dose alleviates symptoms, that's pretty much confirmation that you were herxing on larger doses.
Herxes can sometimes continue even after we reduce the dose or stop taking whatever was causing the herx. After all, herxes represent increased inflammation. Just because the cause of the inflammation was removed doesn't necessarily mean the inflammation will disappear simultaneously.
Herbs are meant to be taken continuously.
At this point, I think your best bet is to increase detoxing now and plan on continuing to increase the number of daily methods you use. Here's our famous link for detoxing suggestions:
www.tiredoflyme.com/detox-methods.htmlThe tinctures will be here soon enough and I do hope you are planning on starting one drop of one herb....and holding there for 4-7 days to gauge reaction. If all is well, start the next herb at one drop and wait. Wash/rinse/repeat until all herbs have been started....and then slowly increase the doses in a similar manner.
Herbs are synergistic - they enhance the actions of each other. That's why Buhner recommends getting the entire protocol going at low doses before increasing.
Slow and steady wins the race.
Best wishes to you moving forward!
