As a newbie, I know the importance of using the search function first. I did and some information came up. A couple people kind of gave their take but didn't really answer my question.

I'm noticing skin dimples in a couple places. My research, tells me it's Lyme related. Most likely the co-infection of Bart.

My question is does this go away or "heal" with treatment? Wondering if anyone has had experiences with this as well.

Where are your skin dimples? I got them on my finger tips almost like after you get out of a hot bath tub for some time. But they also have lines that were made. I think the damage is permanent but there are some people that say these healed and went away. I asked my doc and he said another one of his patients had these and he doesn't think they go away.

Lyme loves our collagen and the loss of it could very well explain the skin dimples.

People had started asking me if I lost weight last fall even though I've been the same weight for years. I realized that I'd lost collagen in my face.

I started using 1 tbsp. Great Lakes gelatin daily after reading that suggestion in Buhner's collagen support protocol.

What a positive difference it's made in my skin, hair and nails!

I have the 'raisin' fingers, too. mostly on my left hand (my bad side)...just a little on my right side.
The lines run the length of my fingers.

But, mine fluctuate during the day..when I'm flaring it's worse.

So, I'm thinking it has something to do with nerves or blood flow as well as collagen.
Since it is better at times...I'm hoping that means it is reversible.

I noticed I was getting the crepe paper type skin on places on my body. I did the great lakes and liked it. But hubby wanted to do the collagen stuff also, so I had to go with a compromise. I do biosil in addition. I love this product.

PeteZa - can you explain what you mean about hubby wanting to do it and you having to compromise?

Does Amazon sell the Great Lakes brand? Or...is it an independent supplier only.

I have the crepe paper skin on the backs of my hands, too.

I know it happens when we get older...but when it pretty much happens overnight...in conjunction with lyme...it makes me wonder.

Both are available on Amazon but he wanted the one I posted and I wanted great lakes (Buhner's choice). He won. I have to let him win once in awhile. LOL! I pick my battles. His choice has more protein.

And I am doing probably overkill with the addition of biosil. Available on Amazon also.

It disappeared when I healed, came back when I got reinfected, then went away again when I healed again. Same with the crepe paper skin (ACA rash, I bet) - it went away, came back and then went away again with treatments. I thought it was weird that the ACA came back though - I was only infected for a total of 8 months, and I was in treatment for 5 of those months!

Thanks for all the replies.

I also noticed I get clammy fingers on my right hand after a quick 10 min shower. This is new for me but I figured it was lyme.

Once again, it's why I'm glad I joined this board. To get the insight of people that can relate.

I'm just entering that stage where, even though lyme is no pic nick, at least I now know what's "wrong" with me. To feel not well and all these weird symptoms and no doctors know what is going on, is actually a worse feeling (for me at least). At least there's a name and face to this *insert various curse words*. At least now I can do something about it.

A lot of us feel the same way - at least we know the name of our monster!! The unknown is very scary to me and many others as well.
