Stacey-Gluten and dairy are highly inflammatory which is one of the big reasons we are advised to steer clear of them. Lyme causes so much inflammation on its own that anything we can do to help limit the inflammation helps us fight the disease and feel better.
Look at the gluten free options and yogurt is one of the dairy options that's ok especially kefir. Cheeses made from goats milk are fine and depending on the area you are in you can get goat cheddar, goat mozzarella, etc. I can still make a pizza. There are a lot of substitutions. It's just a pain the first time or two until you find your replacement products.
Have a friend go with you to help you have a less poo poo attitude. My son was with me and kicked my butt through the aisles.
