I agree with Girlie - it sounds like Lyme....especially since things are happening on only one side of your body.
Actually, people can also gain weight when hyperthyroid due to excessive food consumption ala the increased appetite that can accompany hyperthyroidism.
A mantra on thyroid forums is: symptoms can be deceiving, labs don't lie (the right labs, that is - not just TSH which often lies)
If you had a full thyroid panel done, I hope that included Free T4 and Free T3 testing as Girlie mentioned. I never cease to be amazed at the fact that LabCorp's thyroid panel includes only obsolete tests....my doctor orders the Free T4 and Free T3 tests separately.
No matter what, please do not accept "normal" as the interpretation of your thyroid results without sharing them here. "Normal" means the levels are in range....it does not mean they are YOUR normal.
Healthy people have certain types of levels. If you share your results here (with reference ranges), I'll gladly show you how to interpret them and you'll be able to see if your thyroid is functioning in a healthy manner.
I'm glad you're going to up your detox - that's really something that should continue to happen well into treatment.
Hope you feel better soon!
