What great info so far! Thanks for all of the tips and, you are welcome....I'm glad seeing it in a readable size of font helped! I know a lot of people use Yogi Detox and I had just bought some not long ago, after learning that was a preferred brand. What I learned is detox teas aren't necessarily alike, so be sure to read the labels.
Speaking of reading the labels, my husband and I were joking this morning, when straining our eyes initially to look at the ingredient label (finally giving up and grabbing the magnifying glass). We proudly named the font on both teas the "why bother" font (like comic sans, times new roman, etc.). Seriously, it is SO small that it might as well just be little dots instead of actual letters and words.
Traveler: I appreciate the heads up on Astragalus and also the mentioning of gallbladder/liver symptoms you have with tea...I will pay more attention to that potential side effect now (if you recall, my gallbladder is gone as well...it sure makes things more difficult, completely regret making that decision so quickly without trying alternative methods...but I was too young and didn't know then what I know now)
LOL! I so agree on that font!! The "why bother" font!!
What I find is that my liver is more sensitive to some things, and of course, I have to take bile salts to help break down and absorb the fats that I need.
And don't feel bad - I wish I had noticed sooner, instead of riding it out like I was so used to doing - and had time to try a few of the alternative things myself. But we are here now and we need to do what we need to in order to help our bodies heal these infections and stay healthy enough to keep from having to go through this again and again. Please, please do NOT follow me in that!!
Treating for a second time or third is depressing!!
