So, before Lymes and all that, I was an avid coffee drinker. You might have even considered me a pro at it. Every once in a while though, I decided that maybe I should quit drinking coffee for a few days and kinda reset my tolerance for it. Like anyone heavily addicted to that caffeine wonder, I would go through withdrawal and get the worst headaches. In fact, I would get migraine headaches. I would get the aura, the feeling something is wrong, bad vision, mental sluggishness, vertigo, nausea, etc...Then it would all go away, then the headache would come on. If any of you have suffered from migraines before, it IS NOT just a bad headache. In fact, if you've never had one before, you might actually be thinking you're having a stroke. It can, and often does, cause most of the same early symptoms, up to and including numbness on both or one side of your body.
Anyway, back to my point. Recently, I'm trying to kill the last of these little bugs in me (Lymes, etc...) and since my herxes have been minimal, I decided to switch it up and try pulsing my entire protocol, especially since some new studies have been released that seem to be leaning towards a pulsing plan.
I'm probably being haphazard here, but I went off my entire protocol for 24 hours, including probably a dozen herbs and two different ABX, and I got I one of the worst migraines I've ever had. I haven't had many, but this was bad. I couldn't think, I couldn't read, and the only thing that made it go away was sleep.
My question is, have any of you gone off herbs or ABX before and had a withdrawal like that? Gladly, I don't think this is a Lyme thing, since I felt the exact same as I did from caffeine withdrawal.
Any thoughts?
