A strong cup of caffeinated coffee and/or excedrin migraine has helped immensely.

I used to do these two together, which would work wonderfully at times, but for anyone with adrenal issues this is not a good option - not even for one time because it will send your adrenals backwards quite a ways.
That's interesting, PeteZa. I wonder if it was a headache from the meningitis type effect that we can get. Migraine meds never touched that pain for me either. That required lots of anti-inflammatories and ice packs on my neck/bottom of my skull or forehead and a few days time.
Maybe that's what is happening for Gkamom too???Traveler after doing the circuit of all the well known lyme doctors ( too much $$$ wasted ) most of them agreed that my neck pain associated with headaches is actually encephalitis. Most of the LLMDs didn't really want to say this because as soon as a patient hears "encephalitis" they think they are dying. This is not the case. Encephalitis is defined as brain inflammation and ALOT of people even in the general public get this without really understanding it. It doesn't mean you are dying with lyme and co's ( I can't speak of others I dont have knowledge of ).
Do you notice you are worse with migrane meds? I am much worse. I have learned migraines specifically are opposite of what bartonella does to your brain. Migraines dilate veins. Bartonella constricts veins.
In the short term I am taking a asprin caffeine brain pain combo that keeps encephalitis tolerable. It helps with blood circulation which is my big issue. Coffee is also my friend. I hate big pharm but what are you going to do.
Herbs like ginko and kudzu do much the same for some people.
