DO natural antibiotics kill gut flora, like Garlic, Oregano etc...?-I was thinking of going with the natural antibiotic blend Spiro, by Rain Tree. But the bottle suggests probiotics with it.

I THOUGHT natural antibiotics didn't kill good gut flora/bacteria. With candida, I wanted to go down this road. Thanks!!

Also, I read that Stevia is compared to killing lyme in the same way Doxy does. Anyone ever try the Stevia Lyme treatment?

YES! LOL! I have had a heck of a time keeping my intestines happy, and I've only used herbs. Antimicrobial is antimicrobial -whether it comes from herbs or a pharmaceutical. Many, many probiotics and paying very close attention to what your bowel movements are like and if you are developing any candida symptoms is the way to avoid issues.

I've used Stevia for many years, long before treating Lyme, and it has never helped me. The study was only done in a test tube, and although it did kill Lyme, that was only in a test tube. We know from many other trials that Lyme reacts much differently in the test tube than it does in the body.

I think the stevia study is much like the Claritin study. It has to be HUGE amounts of it to be effective. More than any human would consume.

Garlic will kill the unfriendly bacteria in your gut but will help the friendly bacteria in your gut to thrive!

I am a huge proponent of garlic!!

I've wondered about cats claw and JK. My nutritionist was surprised that they would do the damage antibiotics do when I mentioned it. Actually, I had a question about when to take probiotics while taking these herbs and that's what precipitated the question she's great but a little bit unfamiliar with some of these things I'm taking

I do my probiotics every evening - a few hours after my last antibiotic.

I also squeeze some in mid-day.
