Intro to Fear

Hi All,
Sorry to post questions before I introduced myself to the forum. I have been lurking in the background for awhile, but decided that it was time to join in. I will try to make a long story short.

I am a female age 47 with a 14 year old at home, 2 grown children, 3 grand children and one on the way. I am a massage therapist with a very supportive husband and family.

At the age of 7 I was in an accident which fractured my neck when I was on a trip with my grandparents back in Kansas. For the next several years I had severe migraines. They diagnosed my with Hashimotos at age 9 and was put on synthroid which helped the migraines calm down. Had a relatively normal life for the next few years. Except I was always fighting the headaches, stomach problems and My tongue always looked cut, swollen and coated. To this day I still have the problems with my tongue expecially when I have die off or a flare.

Diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer by a crazy doc and put on massive doses of synthroid. Got a second opinion and stopped all of that craziness.

In 1998 I had a root canal that the dentist broke files off in my mouth, didn't tell me and sealed it up. Subsequently developed Colitis c deficile. In and out of the hospital, with various symptoms. Throwing up nonstop loosing weight, panic attacks, anxiety, adrenal surges,heart going crazy, migraine like symptoms, didn't sleep for weeks at a time. Had surgeries to remove the files although they couldn't get it all out. Had treatment for the colitis, but never recovered. My white blood count was always high for years and docs would say you have an infection somewhere but we don't know where. The antibiotics would help when I was on them but after 2 weeks being off it was the same old. Doctor diagnosed me with adrenal fatigue and put on cortef, which I think saved my life at that time. It still helps me deal with the panic attacks or whatever they are and is the only thing that brings me out of them.

In my attempt to recover I have been diagnosed with candida, mvp, panic attacks, celiac, hypoglycemia, brain fog you name it and have tried everything I could think of or afford to get better. Had all my mercury removed. Various herbs and supplements, antibiotics. I follow a very strict diet and do not cheat. I eat meats, fish, chicken and some vegetables and have for years. I am 5'7" and weigh 112 lbs. Cholesterol has come back very High.

Through the years my symptoms have come and gone and have changed and migrated. I have had the buzzing when I lay down, adrenal surges after eating fruit, feel like I have the flu most days and on and on.

Started the lda shots for lyme and it does take away some of the symptoms. Especially the achiness for a time.

I choose the name fear because I have become afraid to eat most things and even do supplements because of the way they may make me feel. I guess this has developed into health anxiety. Not sure what to do from here.

I currently take Cortef, Nature Thyroid, Testosterone and some herbs and supplements on and off.

Is it lyme or not??? Makes sense. The one health consultant says he thinks that I have had it since being very young and that is what triggered the hashimotos and later when I developed colitis c it triggered the lyme to act up again.

The first step for me, personally, was making nutritional changes, creating an environment that bacteria doesn't like. Seems like everyone finds their own path, and bodies are different. Someone suggested to me getting Horowitz's book on chronic disease - and that is packed with good info - especially in that your condition appears to be chronic. He has a great chart that lists things by symptoms, and then puts all of the things it might be related to. Imagining you whole, healthy, happy. Good for you for seeking answers!

I would ask has anyone mentioned Candida to you yet?

I too was infected as a young child. By age 7 I had Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, age 8 I showed signs of chronic Bartonella, age 9 I had late stage Lyme symptoms - but no one connected the dots, so I was 44 before I was diagnosed with Lyme and company, and 47 before I found a treatment that would work for me. I too have had my gastro system hit pretty hard by these infections, but I did heal!!

I also got reinfected, so I'm back in treatments - but I don't want you to ever believe that it's too late.

So while you may have other things going on as well, I happen to believe that you could easily have Lyme as well (migrating/changing symptoms) and maybe some of the co-infections as well.
