Houttuynia, An RV Toilet and St. Patrick - A Guaranteed Laugh

I struggled with posting this story (bathroom stories are usually sorta private) that JUST happened a few hours ago, but I think we can all use some humor sometimes, right? So I hope it makes some of you smile at least......

HOUTTUYNIA
I just began Houttuynia today - as with all herbs I start, I just did one drop...and STILL felt it in a BIG way...but I am doing ok and just taking it easy today. So, like when you start any herb, you really tune in to your body, right? Paying attention to new signs, symptoms, etc....and that was me today.

RV TOILET
For those who don't know, my husband and I live full time in a modest rv...and have since 2009. Anyway, a little rv lesson. When you empty your black water tank every week or two, you pour a blue liquid product called "Campa Chem" down the toilet, to help break down toilet paper, etc. A few hours ago, my husband went through this process while I was busy doing other things.

THE FUNNY PART
Ok - so I struggled with sharing because it is a bit personal. But we are all grown ups here and I, for lack of a better term, had to "pee." When finished, my heart stopped and I immediately panicked because...the toilet water was GREEN!!! I was CERTAIN I was having some reaction to HOUTTUYNIA!!!! Yes, in my mind, one drop killed my kidneys (not that green urine was logical here, but I was in shock).

ST. PATRICK
My husband, laughing, reminded me that he had done the black water....and that he likely didn't flush the Campa Chem down well enough (rv toilets have a spring like flap to flushing...you can miss getting it all down and it can hang around a bit in nooks and crannies).

And...basic elementary school lesson: blue + yellow = GREEN

That was funny enough, but then we had to add to the humor that it is the eve of St. Patrick's Day, after all....Now if it is green tomorrow, I am in big trouble :)

I can totally relate - so focussed on any little changes in our bodily functions...especially when adding something new into the protocol!
