Has anybody taken gelatin that is used for cooking to have similar effect?
I heard it is good for connective tissue.
Long, long before I got lyme I did Knox gelatin for my hair and nails. I just got out of the habit of doing it. You can buy it in serving packets. If you find the Great Lakes too expensive, go with the Knox unflavored gelatin. Still a good deal for us in replacing collagen in our bodies.Actually for the price we pay for Knox in Canada ($6 for 12 envelopes in a box), the $9 for the large can of Great Lakes Gelatin is much more economical.
We use it daily in smoothies, casseroles etc.
