is this Lyme test worth the money?

It's a urine DNA test by, DNA connexions Lyme & Co infections

So, after almost 2 years of treatment and am still dealing w/same symptoms; but Lyme and Co's are negative. Ive had 1 MD, 1 LLND, and now an ND all three say Lyme & Co's are negative(3 tests since 2012) They do NOT say I dont have 'Lyme', they just say the tests are negative. Both ND'S Treated me for infections because of positive mycoplasma & Cpn (chlamydophilia p.)

Well, my current ND suggested yesterday I send out for yet again another Lyme & Co's test, that is a urine test. It's a DNA connexions Lyme & Co's panel. It's $425!!!! If money were aplenty I'd do it pronto...

My Lyme test history
2012-zero negatives OR positives but LOTS OF indeterminate
June 2014- 1* on band 41(I think it was) & 4 indeterminates
August 2015-all negatives & zero indeterminates

First I want to say that I'm sorry that you've been in treatment for 2 years with no improvement.

Looking at your Lyme History I have some comments and a question or two:

1) 2012 - What bands did you have the IND's? If they are lyme specific bands, then they are indicative of lyme disease (IND's are weak positives)

2) 2014 - Again, what were the IND's on (which bands?)

3) 2015 - zero reaction could mean that after having these infections for so long, your body is now unable to produce antibodies - because of lowered immunity.

I don't know if I'd do the urine test. But, I don't know anything about it.

I have been hearing some good comments on the Armin Labs in Germany - I think it's the Elispot...or Ispot.....
I know a few people who tested negative on Igenex, got a response there.

Also, what were your protocols over the two years? How did you treat Bart...and how did you treat Babesia?

Band 41 means spirochette. ..have you seen your blood under microscopy. ...fry labs will do fish test , i genix will do pcr ...but i saw em with nikon 1000x

I agree, I don't know that I'd try the test. I know that it's a PCR test, but still, there must be large numbers of Lyme bacteria for it to be accurate, and with you having been ill for this long, I doubt that you are shedding many bacteria, and your immune system has obviously quit making antibodies to the bacteria.

And I'm also curious about what indeterminates you had on previous tests, particularly the first one in 2012.

Also, what other infections are suspected? Any possibility that you have a mold issue as well? That can often prevent a person from healing from these infections.
