*Update to* Should I leave my Doctor?

Ok so a few months ago I made a post titled "should i leave my doctor?". Since then I have left Dr. S and have had about 2 appointments with Dr. E(male), both in NJ. This is an update since then since i promised to keep you guys noted.

Basically Dr. E said he didn't believe I have current issues with Lyme and co-infections. He ran 3 different blood tests for Lyme and 1 test each for Bartonella and Babesia. Furthermore, he ran a test for parasites in the blood and found nothing. I told him that Dr. S was mainly treating me for Bartonella because that's the symptoms I had. Dr. E said that he is actually one of the doctors that first discovered Bart and he believes that it isn't an issue at all for me.

He believes my muscle twitching and pain stems from a neurological issue. Especially since i have little reflex in my right leg, and 0 reflex in my left leg. He mentioned it could be spinal alignment or even metals, but since he's not an expert he wants to send me to a neuro. Also my White blood count is low at 2.8, when normal is 4.0.

I also mentioned candida since i've had long term issues with is and am currently dealing with it, but he honestly didn't seem that interested. He gave me Clotrimazole 10mg troche to be taken for 10 days. I was a little disappointed as i wanted something stronger but he was worried about my liver and said this was the safest medication for candida (even though it's only for thrush, not systematic).

I agree, this doesn't sound very good. I'm so very sorry, but some LLMD's really shouldn't be LLMD's, since we count on them so heavily.

One of the first clues that he isn't as knowledgeable as he claims is that he tried using a blood test to see if you still had Lyme. Those tests, and Lyme simply won't retest like that. The longer you have Lyme, the less antibodies you will produce.

The second clue is that he thinks neuro issues aren't Lyme or Bart. When Lyme and Bart combine in the body, the neuro issues are usually more severe than either infection is present alone - and Neuro Lyme or Bartonella is a bear by themselves!

I hope you can find a doctor that actually understands these infections soon!

I honestly don't know what to think. This isn't like i did 1 year of antibiotics and just got off. I've been on antibiotics for over 3 YEARS. I've been sick now a total of over 10 years. He even made a point to say that with the amount of antibiotics i've been on for the past few years it should've cleared the Lyme and co-infections. And honestly after stopping treatment some symptoms actually went away! (Maybe it was slow detoxing).

But like i said muscle twitching and eye pain are still here. But I honestly think it's more candida overgrowth than anything else. For some reason I cannot get candida to go away for good (gut and thrush).

Does anyone know if there are any "candida" specialists? Like what are they called? I thought about going to a gut doctor, but idk if that's the right doctor? I defintely have systematic candida. And please no recommendations for "holistic/natural" doctors. I find the supplements ridiculously time consuming and expensive (must buy multiple things).

just a thought-has anyone looked at you for dental issues ( festering polymicrobial infection) and parasites?

I googled candida specialist and found links but I have no idea about them.

I also have heard good things about the book "The Candida Cure"
