The IFA positive result should be enough for a Lyme-savvy doctor to diagnose Lyme.
Unfortunately, due to lame CDC policy, the Western Blot is then run and a positive result has to meet certain unrealistic criteria. Your Western Blot doesn't meet their criteria and your results would be then be determined "false positive".....erroneously.
I like this site for interpreting Western Blot results:
lymetwistontherocks.blogspot.com/2011/01/western-blots-what-do-all-of-those-darn.htmlFor IgM (active infection), you reacted on Lyme-specific bands 31, 34 and 83-93
For IgG (possibly active infection), you reacted on Lyme-specific bands 30 and 39
If you were able to watch Dr. Horowitz's presentation during the Lyme Summit happening online this week, any reaction on any Lyme-specific band + symptoms = Lyme.
Sorry you're a member of our club but now you know the cause of your symptoms.
