Hi everyone -

At first glance, seems we have a lot of new posters here and some new mods, which is fantastic. I've missed you all and I'm glad to be back.

I disappeared for several months for several reasons... ;) but hopefully my life is a little more stable and I can check in more frequently. I hit a very rough patch this winter but emerging and I've started vancomycin (for bartonella) with my Rocephin IV and have already made some progress. Fingers crossed.

I joined here recently. After years of suffering, I finally found out that it is because of Lyme.

It was funny - I was perusing some of the threads last night and I recognized a few poster's names but I couldn't draw on any memories. With all the cognitive problems I've had it might take awhile for me to re-familiarize myself with everyone and our previous conversations so please forgive me if I sound like a stranger or like I've forgotten who people are. Good to be back though.

Aww...P. I have thought of you often...wondering how you were doing...the last I remember you had started the IV antibiotics.

I think the Rocephin's impact has faded but I'm still on it. Have had immediate relief w/ vanco at least in GI but labs showed the levels in my blood are "sub-therapeutic levels" so they will be increasing dose soon and maybe that will prolong relief. Fingers crossed.

In fact, I am going to a concert on Friday....WOTE (don't know if you all in the U.S. have heard of them...they're Canadian)

blush You know, most people sum it up in one word - a pest! LOL! turn But thank you so much for your kind words. You have been a member on here long enough and we've emailed enough that I felt like we were more than just community members, we were/are friends. How can I NOT check on my friends???

I'm so excited for your improvements!! I hope with all that I am that they continue and you can finally be rid of this!
