I agree with your entire post--whole heartedly. Many good points.
Regarding the previous mention of heavy metals and your comment... I had MANY amalgams in my teeth - in all of my back 8 teeth upper/lowers. I had all of them removed except for those in 2 teeth about 4 yrs ago and not by a "bio" dentist (I wasn't aware of the issues at the time) and I think I suffered some leeching into tissues despite repeated negative hvy mtls testing.
When I tried to detox using chlorella--I nearly killed myself. I learned quickly that if you don't know what you're doing, you are likely to leach mtls out of tissues, fail to detox them efficiently and they will be reabsorbed. So now I'm pretty sure that has contributed to my y/f challenges but I'm not in a healthy enough state for mtls detox... not yet anyway.

I found this old post while looking for a specific post on d-limonene. Gosh! There is so much amazing info in this post, and it's got me thinking about
Candida and heavy metals.
So far, I've had no antibodies to Candida and no signs of it, as is thrush or vaginal yeast infections, etc. I have never been on long term abx, only short term many times over 48 years. Two 7 day Rx in the past 2 years a year apart. Been on high dose probiotics for 2.5 years with no noticeable effects good or bad.
Clues to Possible Candida:- one Sacchromyces boulardii capsule caused nausea and dizzyness
- have craved sweets for past 3 years when I never had before
- two months ago after 1 month of Candicid Forte, I had diarrhea and vomiting and seaweed looking stuff came out; 4 days later had diarrhea again and got relief from IBS-C and moved bowels without magnesium for 1st time in 2.5 years; ate what I wanted for 2 weeks and abdominal pain started back and had to get back on magnesium; got back on Candicid Forte
- have had increased joint pain/stiffness for weeks
- cannot seem to stick to a clean diet
- have 14 amalgams that are scheduled to be replaced on 12 June and 14 July
I've been on Pectasol-C for over a year. I'm wondering if it is pulling metals out of tissues or joints and could also be causing a Candida issue as a result.
I finished one bottle of d-limonene taken daily. Been out a couple of days and have reordered. Can't say for sure if it helped anything specific. However. in the last couple days since I ran out, I've had feelings like hot flashes and had sweating. Also woke up with burning, itchy palms night before last. Not sure what that is. Don't remember having that symptom before.
There's another thread (

Just wanted to update this thread with my experience thus far on the D-Limonine: I can say I'm definitely sleeping much better. All through the night unless nature calls. Hot flashes are reduced 90% as well if that's related somehow. But either way, my sleep pattern was miserable before this product and nothing else has changed so credit to the D-limonene! Thank you for posting this thread, astroman. I did order the Jarrow brand fwiw.
To me, this would indicate that you had an elevation in intraluminal aluminum and the D-Limonene helped eliminate it. I would extrapolate that farther and say a bacteria was sequestering the aluminum and H pylori is often the culprit.
Hot flashes can occur from the exothermic reaction of nitrogen breakdown. Too much nitrogen breakdown can lead to higher temperatures than normal. High nitrogen ingestion, which most often comes in the form of animal protein, will increase bacteria like Bilophilia which decrease good yeasts like Saccharomyces. A balance must be maintained between good yeasts and the other bacteria present because the yeasts increase the fermentation of carbohydrates. This not only helps to eliminate carbohydrates but also decreases sulfite levels in the body by converting them to sulfides. Flatulence is hydrogen sulfide gas and comes from the action of the yeasts. Too many sulfites kill the yeasts and they need to be replenished. My belief is that people with Lyme have a decrease in good yeasts from a combination of too many sulfites and too many antibiotics. Antibiotics lead to an increase in Candida and other unwanted yeasts which overgrow the beneficial yeasts. Florastor is a good option to replenish the good yeasts.

Any comments on what I said in relation to Candida, heavy metals, hot flashes, joint pain, or burning itchy palms?
