Real Time Mycotoxin Report...

Can someone please tell me what this means?

Gliotoxin present (.65000 ppb), present if greater or equal to 0.3 ppb
Is the above a VERY high amount?
What are the next steps.....?


Also, my level of Ochratoxin A was equivocal....(not sure if equivocal is still bad.....)

i assume you did a urine test? that's a pretty low number for gliotoxins. there's also lots of debate on if/at what levels the 4 main mycotoxins will effect your health. we're such complex machines esp those with chronic infections and this is a new area of study so everyone is still learning.

another challenge with these tests are levels in the urine could be indicative of a problem (cause they're in your urine) or not because your body is effectively moving the toxins out of your body to avoid having any symptoms because of that.

my doctor put me on Alli and then switched to Welchol to help move the toxins out. can't say i've noticed any difference but better safe than sorry!

another thing to add about gliotoxins. you can get them from your environment and/or they are byproducts of candida. everyone has some candida so once again hard to correlate to a particular symptom or its severity unless you have a really bad case.

i'm sure i confused you more than when i started lol.

Also, if this is due to mold in my house it could actually be much higher because I had only been home 1 week before doing the test (was gone for 7 weeks).

In the Spring we found that my son had big red circles all over his scalp that under the microscope the doctor saw fungus and yeast. He was treated with Ketoconizole shampoo and a antifungal med. It cleared quickly with the shampoo. I also had a yeast infection and what was suspected as a yeast UTI 1 month prior to my neuro symptoms starting. I think this may be a big part of the puzzle for me. But it really could be my house or yeast, I have no idea which.

A few things that point to yeast for me is that I had really bad acne behind ears and neck hairline which cleared up with my sons ketoconizole shampoo (also rash like acne on chest & back). I also had white spots on my skin which I've read can be candida. They have cleared up some this summer when we were away for 7 weeks though. So maybe they were fungal?

My youngest daughter, who has blonde hair/blue eyes like me, has bad allergies like me. We both are miserable right now and she is having bloody noses every night. I looked up allergies here in NC and we are high for mold right now. So we are clearly allergic to mold. I never knew I had allergies till I moved here.

I have had a candida stool test but it came back negative. I am not sure how accurate those are though. I also had our house tested for mold, but again, not sure how valid. The guy took an air sample.
