Getting disability eval monday. Anyone with experience?

Monday I am getting an evaluation for my application for disability-government not job. I have been unable to work full time for years, and now this is only option. Hoping that someone has gone through the different types of evaluations and could give me idea what to expect.

If you're talking about Social Security Disability you have to be found unable to perform "substantial gainful employment" which typically means do they find that you could work any job where you could earn somewhere around $900/mo (I forget what the dollar amount is currently).

Keep in mind that you can also be found disabled if you have a combination of conditions which taken by themselves would not be sufficient, but in combination would be disabling.

From what I know 9friends of friends) you may be disqualified on the first go around, but do not give up and try again. It seems that they give up on quitters. Second time and they believe you are serious.

Be sure and take your medical records with you, especially if you have any records that show that you

deal with depression. I was able to get it, but it was before I knew I had Lyme. I had a lot of

information with me for the 5 years of research which could find no reason for my difficulties. I also

asked my neurologist to confirm my inability to work due to a difficulty I have walking.

When I was interviewed by the agent for disability he asked me about my anti-depressants and said

that was often helpful to get on disability. Also a Lyme diagnoses doesn't always help because the

belief is that you can get better.
