Neuro lyme vs arthritic lyme?

I've tried to research this but haven't found much on the topic.

What causes the different forms of lyme? Is it due to different strains of borrelia? Or does it have something to do with the persons body?

Why do some people get lyme in the brain and others in the joints?

I find it strange that most cases that started in lyme Connecticut presented as arthritis, and yet now you hear of a lot more neuro cases.

I agree with sayyadina, at least that's been the situation with me.
Although I was being sent to neurologists from the first year they thought they were seeing Fibromyalgia. The only time I got abx was for other random issues over the years.

I don't know if it's a coincidence or not, but the really significant brain disfunctions kicked in after I finished 90 days of Doxy and a round of Zithromax, during a 4 month span of no abx because I couldn't get things in gear with my Dr. Which makes me wonder if the brain is the choice hideout for encapsulating themselves in cysts.
I don't think I've ever read anything indicating that though, scientific or not.
