if you need a laugh....kids say the darndest things!!

I learn by simple analogy. I suppose its the kid in me and the fact that I teach kids and am always thinking how can I explain my chronic illness in a way that my grandson can understand....

He's in 4th grade and is learning about volcanoes and the difference between extinct(will never explode again), dormant(can wake up and explode again), and active(self explanatory).

So my grandson was staying the weekend with us last weekend unfortunately during one of my uncontrollable emo. menopausal moods that results in lots of crying. He later said, "Grandma you're in 'active' stage arent you. How long until you're dormant, and will you're sickness ever be extinct"???

Ha! I said later on after calming down...."A virus NEVER goes extinct. Its either active or dormant" "But bacteria, parasites, fungals, molds etc can be extinct by killing them with medicine"

He said, "Oh Grandma you have all those, no wonder why you're always 'active'!!!

PRECIOUS!!!!
