I am starting to order my herbs for Burner's protocol. For Japanese Knotweed should I use tincture or pills? I think I would rather tincture so I can go slow with it. Has anyone used the Montana Farmacy brand?

Also, is there a place I can order all the herbs from? I'm having a hard time finding them.

I use Woodland Essence - tinctures.




I started with pills - JK and CC - but I switched to herbs - I already have too many pills to swallow...with the tinctures I put most of them together in 1/4 cup of water and 'down the hatch'.

If I had to swallow all these in capsules: JK, Hawthorn, Cryptolepis, Sida Acuta, Kudzu, Greater Celandine, Houttuynia - that would be huge amount of capsules to swallow. ugh.

And..as you say - you can go lower dose with the tinctures...one drop at a time...

I like Woodland Essence too - have a couple of their products. The last time someone posted about different brands, there were several mentioned. I would only buy a pure and recommended product--there is a lot of 'crap' out there.

Although I buy Biopure Jap Knotweed and I, too, wanted the tincture so that I could control the dosing. But I had absolutely no problem with it and moved up to max dose very quickly.

Is cordyceps mycelium the same as cordyceps sinensis?

Faith - I got all mine there...except once they were out of Houttuynia...so I ordered from Sage WomanHerbs -also on Buhner's list of recommended sources.

I will look for the JK now...and see where it is in the list - should be alphabetical...it's a strange list - it's broken up in sections - so take a look further down...maybe.

Sorry I don't know the difference between the two cordyceps...i'm sure someone else will know.

I have never gotten my JK from Woodland. How longs does and 8 oz bottle last? and how many droppers do you use a day?

I have been buying the 2 oz bottles - but have not kept track of how long they last. I've had starts and stops...

i take 2 droppersful daily. But, I started low....and increased slowly.

Interesting. Maybe I have been taking too much?? I have alternated the capsules (Green Dragon) with the powered and the tincture (Montana). the bottle I get from Montana only lasts a short time. the most economical way is the powered herb. But it is awful to get down! I mix it with almond/coconut milk and chew peppermint gum (a tablespoon in 6-8oz of almond/coconut milk).

I am never sure of how many drops in one of those little droppers.

We just had that information on a thread..I believe it is 30 drops = 1/4 tsp = one dropperful.

For my first entire YEAR of treatment I took a Lyme tincture that had JK and 4 or 5 others. My LLND's hubby was the herbalist who compounded the mixtures and I think he purchased the individual herbs from woodland essence...

Now Im seeing a different ND who uses TCM in the pill form and boy did I ever like the tincture better...THE PILLS Inhave to be popping ALL DAY, uhg!

I know!! was taking so many of those pills a day!! I am currently on a break from all of it. My symptoms are much improved (sans the fatigue and headache some mornings) Its my idea for the break. I just needed to.

However, I start part time next week and I am going to be working on my health. Hopefully the spring time snow in the rockies will back off!! I want to get out in the fresh air and start walking. a good healthy routine of rest herbal protocol and exercise will be one of my goals.

Thank you I want to get the measure of the tincture right. I really don't want to do the powder or pills.
